Stock update – 2007.Oct: Fall is SPS Time
Stock Updates October 17th, 2007Fall is SPS Time
It has been slow the last couple of weeks over at Exoticfrags. Jeremy and his wife have just returned from a SCUBA vacation. Two weeks ago, My wife and I went on vacation. Needless to say, answering emails and shipping had to be put on the back burner for a little bit. Now that we are back, we are ready to roll. Of course, we didn’t forget about the site, we put together a very LARGE update. We received large shipments from Greg Carroll and Karl Unarce. As you may know, these guys are the kings of beautiful stony corals, but that wasn’t all. Yesterday, we received a large shipment from Greg Hiller.
Greg Hiller, is a reefing pioneer. He has been successfully keeping acropora for many years. Greg is also a contributing author to the online magazine “Reefkeeping’s” “Frag of the Month” article. He was one of Exoticreefs’ earliest farmers, and he has transitioned over to Exoticfrags.
So what did we get from everybody?
Well Greg Hiller supplies several frags of his always in demand Aqua Delight. While we didn’t get any Blueberry frags (we tried, but the frags were looking rough in Greg’s tank), we got it’s kissing cousin, the Green Highlighter coral. Other corals from Greg include the beautiful Palau Acro, with it’s distinct blue tips, and the Montipora Palawensis, this Reeffarmers LE is and intense apple green with purple polyps. It’s a sleeper coral that will surprise you.
Take a sneak peak at Greg H’s corals before we transition the data over.

Greg Carroll was kind of enough to fill some requests for us. We now have the following corals in stock from Greg: Lime in the Sky, Ultimate Blue Stag, and Acroberry (among other things). The Acroberry is definitely a must have in any acro collection. The Lime in the Sky, really doesn’t need any introduction, and they are looking incredible in Jeremy’s tank. The Ultimate Stag isn’t an easy coral for Greg to frag. We don’t have many in stock, and demand has been incredible.
We recommend snatching these up as soon as possible. We don’t know when Greg will be fragging next, and Greg’s corals are in such demand, you’d think they were illegal.
Karl Unarce picked up a couple of other requests as well.
Karl sent us home with some Icefire echinata and True Undata. He also supplied two new firsts for Exoticfrags, the 20,000 Leagues Lokani, and Eddie’s Purple Monster.
We used to shop at Eddie’s shop several years ago, and one thing was for certain. Eddie had the “Eye” for nice corals. Read more on Eddie’s Purple Monster here:

Karl also provided several large frags of Pink Lemonade. These frags are big (by PL standards). Karl moved his colony and made several colonies from the base. Pink Lemonade typically forms a large base before it branches, so half the work is done for you on these.
Exoticfrags will be bringing a new coral online as well. Be on the lookout for the Montipora Setosa. This coral has been propogated by Eric Camaano of fragfarmer.com. I had the pleasure of seeing the mother colony in his shop, and it’s a knockout. It’s growth structure is incredible. So much so, that I never frag it. This frag was accidentally made by who knows what in my tank (Jeremy’s guess is the reef trigger). Luckily, I was able to find this frag and save it. I was surprised at how big it was, and I am glad I was able to save it.
Shop around on the site when the update goes live in the next couple of days. There will be quite to choose from.

Hi guys,
This is Eddie from the old Tropical Paradise. I’m in Indonesia exporting coral and fish. I’ve set up a blog to let fellow reefers know what I’m up to. I will be posting new pictures of corals and my activities on a regular basis. Go check it out! 🙂
Thanks
